  1. Dear Ambassador Wanni,
interested in a MP job ? seems you’re inching your way towards a ticket to run for parliament..
    which party?
is it with the new Okkoma Rajjawaru Party?
    good one, thanks

  2. Oh Dear!!!!!

Being an ambassador is much better than being an MP for me. At least this is a safer job these days. I am quite satisfied with my ‘ambassadorial role’ and have no interest in any party politics.

I am a great fan of Black Adder series and share some of the clips from it time to time with those who are interested in watching them. This is just for fun. Plain humor. I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings and if the readership, or should I say “visitorship” in ICT jargon, is not happy about these clips I can either stop publishing them or remove the already published once.

Many people look at Rowan Atkinson as Mr. Bean but for me, Black Adder is the role that shows his real talents. Unfortunately due to the language problem (BA uses very old English and one needs the exposure to English literature to understand most of the conversations) Black Adder has got a back seat while Mr. Bean has got a front seat throughout the world. Mr. Bean doesn’t talk much or rather uses the universal language – language of the dumb – and easily get the attention of the people worldwide. It is high time our comedians learnt a bit from Black Adder and Yes, Prime Minister. Apart from Ethuma, we don’t see much quality political humor in this country, do we? Ethuma did a fairly good job within the limitations of a state run TV station. This is my personal view.

    See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAE2M54IK30 too.
