I had the pleasure of reading Giving: How Each of Us Can Change the World by former United States President Bill Clinton. The book was published in 2007. The book is of full of information about well managed community projects. Clinton has studied a lot of NGOs and INGOs that are in the field of community service and included them in his book. This is a good guide book for those who run NGOs. Those people can search the organizations mentioned in the book on the Internet and start partnering with them. While I was involved in Horizon Lanka work, I worked with one such organization, Global Giving which was immensely helpful for us. Most of the organizations mentioned by Clinton are well managed by the respective organizations and others can learn a lot from them.
The book details efforts funded by the Clinton Foundation or which Clinton otherwise admires, with a message encouraging readers to join in. The book mentions the charity work of well-known people like Oprah Winfrey, Andre Agassi, and Warren Buffett, why each chooses to do it, and also mentions lesser known instances of charity.
