In addition to my postpaid Dialog mobile phone connection, I have a prepaid Mobitel connection as well mainly for my friends who call me from Mobitel phones. I never took Airtel, Hutch or Etisalat seriously hence not worried about their connections. Recently I wanted to reload my Mobitel connection and I went to a small communication shop in Ja-Ela. Instead of you-write-the-number-in-this-book, the guy in the shop asked me to press the digits of a small machine and enter my Mobitel number and the amount I intended to reload. In seconds I did that and he pressed a button in the machine and within seconds the job was done and I got the SMS from Mobitel saying that I have been reloaded the amount I put. I also received a paper receipt from the machine.

In fact this machine has been produced in Sri Lanka. The producers call the machine Techno Plus Auto reload System. It was a very simple box. It works for any operator. I hope that other shops also start to use this soon. This would prevent the shop keeper putting wrong numbers and you get a receipt too. And it is swift.
